Time is flying really fast, right? Today, Katie is seven months old! This month is a bit hectic for us as we are packing up things for our big move abroad. This is the last time I am writing her updates from the Philippines. Next month, her photos will be taken from our new home. But I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s talk about what the little miss has been doing lately .

Physically, there is much more purpose to her movements. She likes playtime and she really moves around a lot now. We always have to be on the lookout as to where she is, because one second she’s in one corner and the next, she’s on the other side!

She is able to support herself a little bit higher when she’s on her tummy. I think it will just be a matter of time before she learns to crawl. We have been training her to sit down without support. At this point, she’s able to do so for a couple of seconds before falling down on her side and getting back on her tummy. I’m giving it a few more weeks.

She also finished her classes last week. I think her sessions have been good for her. She’s learned to socialize with other kids and with older people. And she has been exposed to different instruments and sounds. When I sing songs that are played in class, she stops and it looks like she recalls the music.

She’s also at that phase where she gets stranger anxiety, ie. she cries when she sees an unfamiliar phase. But give her a few minutes to warm up, and she’ll be ok.

As for me, I posted this photo on Instagram a few days ago. The caption says it all. I think most mothers can relate to these bouts of feeling ugly at one point or another. I’ve been feeling it a lot these past couple of months, and only recently started to be happy in my own skin.

I do hope that with our move to a new place will help in changing my mindset. But for now, there are clothes, things, furnitures to pack. There’s no time for sad thoughts.

On to the next month, guys!
