Hey! I know as a woman, you have things you want to write about. You may not have time to create or maintain a blog, and personally, I feel that those micro blog posts are not enough to quite capture what we really want to say.
I would like this site to be a platform for women for women of all ages to express themselves on many different things-topics that we are passionate about. I want to capture your thoughts and document a particular time in your life.
Let’s build a community of women helping and inspiring each other as we navigate all the challenges we face, whether in our career, families, school and well, just life itself!
Topics
My blog focuses mainly on life in New Zealand, parenting, motherhood, food, books, travel and good finds. I know–that’s a whole long list of many possible posts, and that’s good, right? Do you have a letter to your kids that you would like to share to the world (see my Letters to Katie and Letters to Patty).
How about an opinion piece on the current events of the world? That would be good too.
Guidelines
- Length of the article: About 1,500 words, with a couple of nice subheadings to break up the text. I will work with you on this.
- Selling Things: The guest post is not for selling products. Please don’t include affiliate links. It’s really for inspiring and useful articles. If you would like to sell your product, please fill in the Contact Form with the subject: Sponsored Post/Ad.
- Write for the reader: Just write as you would talk to a friend.
- Visuals: You can include a photo, or visuals from the Internet to make the article more engaging. Just attribute to the original, if using such photos.
- Copyright: Needless to say, please don’t submit articles that are copied from another website. We want to hear YOUR thoughts, YOUR voice.
- Editing: I will review and edit, as required, any posts before posting. I will let you know about it and will give you a chance to read before it gets published.
- Promoting your post: Once your article is published, I will link it to the Notes From Our Corner Facebook page, the Instagram account (either through Stories, Reels, or a Post), and Pinterest. I will also give you the link to the post so you can promote it on your own circles, if you like.
