Hey there! Katie recently turned 11 months old! Wee! I’m excited for the days ahead as we have plans for her big day. But first, a couple of updates!

She’s gotten quite big, ‘no? She’s heavier and moves around a lot, it tires me out sometimes. Note that she hasn’t started walking yet, so I’m sure that when she does, it’s going to take a lot of energy from me to keep up!

We recently went out to town, just the two of us. Her dad went on a business trip and I was getting bored at home, so decided to go into the city. It was such a nice day, it would have been a shame to stay indoors.

We took a stroll on the waterfront, and went in to Te Papa Museum for her to stretch and play.

Overall, it was a good day. But I do need to start driving because taking public transportation with a baby is NOT good for my back. Imagine carrying the baby, her bag, plus the stroller. Thankfully, bus drivers here are so helpful.

Anyway, her social skills have also improved. She really likes spending time in daycare to play with kids. I’ve also noticed that when I drop her off in the morning, she doesn’t cry anymore. She goes straight to the toy bin and doesn’t even notice that I’m leaving. Is that good or bad?

We move forward to the next month, guys! It’s going to be a busy couple of weeks as I stress myself out planning her first birthday, but it’s all good!
