Just sharing with you some photos of our Halloween this year. It’s Patty’s first time to dress up and go trick or treating, so of course, we need to document this!
Katie, on the other hand, has never gone trick or treating. If I remember correctly, the weather wasn’t too good two years ago and last year, she was in childcare already. This time, she was able to dress up in costume, and we drove over to the Trunk or Treat fair over at Upper Hutt.
Cars lined up the area and the kids can get their candies from the owners, depending on the games they set up. Since Katie and Patty are still too small to play, the owners just hand over their candies.
I think this is a nice idea to save kids from knocking door-to-door on Halloween. Some people don’t participate and the kids go away disappointed. But having these cars all open and the kids just walk up to them, well, it’s easier for everyone.
