Just a quick documentation of our move yesterday.

Their last breakfast in the old house

There is a LOT of unpacking to do. John and I are exhausted, but also I think excited to make this space our own.  We have been slowly moving things over to the house these past few weeks, so the kids are already familiar with the place. In fact, Katie loves it here, especially the giant bath tub and the garden.

It feels good to know that the place you’re living in is your own. You can do whatever you want with it (within reason, I say), and there is no need to ask the landlord for permission. But we will also be the ones responsible for anything that needs fixing. Thankfully, this one is newly renovated and the previous owner really took care of the place.

This is a new season of our life, and I look forward to filling this home with many good memories with our family and friends.
