My  mobile phone just gave me a warning that I’m about to reach my space limit, so I decided to clean it up a little bit. Well, it’s not surprising that photos and videos occupied the biggest space! Here are a couple of photos that I took when the three of us would go out and explore our new home. We visited these attractions on separate weekends, but you can easily visit them in one day. Ready? Ok, photodump ahead, guys!

Mount Victoria Lookout

Mount Vic Lookout is one of the more popular tourist attractions in Wellington. We went here on a sunny day, because otherwise, we wouldn’t be able to have a good view of the city.

It’s best to check the Met Service for the weather and wind conditions, since Welly can be quite windy. For babies, the trip up to Mount Vic may not be as enjoyable if it gets too cold. Fortunately, our visit that day was blessed with good weather. Miss Katie was quite happy.

For our future visitors, we’ll make sure you get to see the city from this view. Here is a good reference about Mount Victoria Lookout, for those intending to visit.

Zealandia

Zealandia is an eco-sanctuary located within the city that houses different species of birds, reptiles and insects.

We did about an hour walk at the outdoor trail and saw different kinds of insects, reptiles and birds.

Takahe birds and ducks: The takahe is a flightless bird that can only be found in NZ

The hiking trail was a challenge for us as Katie’s stroller wasn’t really meant to be used for rocky terrain. JP ended up carrying her most of the time. Here we are at the end of our walk.

Zealandia is a nice place to go to, especially during summer, with the warmer weather. We will definitely visit again when Katie is a bit older and can walk on her own. Here are details about Zealandia if you’d like to visit.
