It’s September! I feel like it was just yesterday when we were starting 2019 and I was doing my yearly goals. But time flies by when you’re too busy with work, family and all other activities, right?

Today let me tell you about a project I’d like to focus on until the end of the year. Well, to be honest,I’ve been working on this already, but I’m not as committed as I should be,which is why I’m putting it in writing over here so I have to be accountable.

In the beginning of this year, one of my goals was to lose weight. It has been my goal ever since a few months after I had Patty, but of course, I had lots of excuses and I have been too lazy to get down to business and just start.

I decided that 2019 will be the year, and I have done it…well, a little bit. Less than 4 months to the end of the year, and all I have to show for is a 6 pound loss.

Lately-Running

Yes I ran a 5K and Half-marathon, but I am still about 40 lbs overweight.

Why 100 days?

I think 100 days is a reasonable period enough to reach my target weight. Also, 100 days from today, I’m visiting South Korea for a winter trip. And I think it’s just a nice round number to do a countdown.

What will I do?

With any goal I set, I usually think of my to-do’s to get to that goal. (FYI: My line of work is on projects,so I’m very much into list-making and checklists!). Here are my tasks:

  1. Exercise 4-5 times a week -This is doable because I’m already training for a 21-k in November and already running 3 times a week. I’d like to add a day (or two) for non-running exercises.
  2. Set calorie intake per day at 1,200. I feel this is going to be the biggest challenge because I love food and eating out, and sometimes I eat my kids’ leftovers (hey,I’m a mom!)
  3. Drink 2 Liters of water per day (I’m already doing this)
  4. Get 7-8 hours of sleep per day. This means I have to reduce time watching K-dramas, oh well.

How will I track progress

I think a check every 30 days to weigh in and measure is just fine.I don’t want to measure so often that I get discouraged if there’s no progress.

I’ll also do updates via my Instagram Stories

Let’s do this!

Here’s to hoping I make a lot of progress! I’m really looking forward to going on this journey. A lot can happen in 100 days, so let’s see how this will work out.

I hope you join me on this project, and let me know how you go!
