Yesterday, I attended a work event at the Te Papa Museum. It finished early, and I had time to spare before going to another event with friends, so I was able to walk around. This is my favourite space in the museum. This is the entrance to the Toi Art, the national art collection. The wall is actually red, and serves as  a bold background to various portraits of European royalty, Māori leaders and settlers in New Zealand. Each represents interesting stories from New Zealand’s past.
