I have been nurturing this word since December and there was no doubt in my mind  that this was going to be my word for 2022. It’s really simple, something that I forget sometimes, in pursuit of all the things I want to accomplish in a year.

Last year’s word, “grace”, was something that anchored me during those times when I felt overwhelmed with anxiety—about this pandemic, the lockdowns, they things I want to do that don’t seem to get done. Grace was allowing myself space to just be quiet. To start over, exercise patience and be still.

My word for this year is: GOOD

There are no lofty goals this year. No major travels planned, no major events, and so it is best to just be good. I think that the word “good” is highly underrated. In a very competitive world, being good is not enough. You have to be the best.  But I disagree, being GOOD is ok. It is the stepping stone to becoming your best self.

If everything else fails, just be GOOD!

A simple reminder to be good to myself, to others and to all other aspects of my life.
